‘Tiech’ as she is affectionately known, has a deep love of Yin yoga; for the connection and nourishment it provides the body, heart and mind. With a fast-paced corporate lifestyle she discovered that Yin provided stillness and restoration.
Inspired to share this practice with others, she trained as an Okido yoga teacher with Peter Masters during 2014-15 and most recently as a Yin yoga teacher with Sarah Powers in Thailand.
Lisa completed her Ki Yoga Teacher Training with Jack Marshall at the Zen Renaissance Healing Centre in Bondi Junction in 2007.
She has taught weekly adult classes at the local Steiner School in Castlecrag where her four young sons attended.
In 2010 she expanded her family having her fifth son and her first homebirth- of which she says she wouldn’t have the strength and confidence in her body to do so without having completed her yoga studies and practice. In 2012 she had another successful very quick homebirth and had her first daughter, completing her family. She is a busy mum and stays sane by doing her own consistent practice, often seen on the mat at Mosman Village Yoga. Lisa joins the team on our covers roster and her classes are suitable for beginners through to advanced.
Ann sees yoga as a joyful path of transformation. Hooked on Japanese style yoga since her first class fifteen years ago, she jumped at the chance to do the inaugural Yoga Life Training at Mosman Village Yoga becoming a qualified teacher in 2013.
Ann has deep roots in Japanese culture through study, career and family. Having earned a black belt in karate and attained proficiency in the tea ceremony she went on to work in Asian art at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
Through the healing practice and mindful movement of yoga Ann gains the resilience and vitality to meet life’s challenges. She enjoys sharing this nourishing tradition with students and also loves her role as resident interpreter for visiting Japanese yoga teachers.
